The Bird and the Beads Giveaway

I've been wanting to do a giveaway lately, and like always just needed to get my act together.  Well, it is not totally together, but anyways here I am with a giveaway.   To enter the giveaway you need to post a comment on my blog let me know why you like ceramic beads, and how you heard about me and this blog.  Feel free to share this giveaway with your friends etc.  I need to get my  name out there and any little exposure helps.

I am giving away a set of six beads and a bird made from stoneware clay and glazed in a teal green shade.  They have been fired to cone 5.  The bird and beads are all handmade by me so please expect a little of the handmade  look and feel.  The bird I love, it's a little plump measuring about 1" and the beads range from 10 to 13mm. These beads will go to the lucky winner  when I announce it on February 11th.

Please leave your comments.  Last day to enter is Thursday the 10th.  The entry time will end at 9pm PST.   I will announce a winner  Friday Feb. 11th. in the morning.  Thank you for visiting and good luck!

Oh those are gorgeous, I love turquoise, and I love how you have them displayed, just beautiful.

I met you at a bead class you taught in Los Angeles, how many years ago was that? and that's how I found out about your blog, how time flies when you working with clay.

The bird bead is so cute! I would use these beads to make a suncatcher with a large green crystal at the bottom of it. I found your blog from @KokopelliDesign on twitter.
After this post I will also tweet about this giveaway. (i'm @birchbarkbeads on twitter)

Oh I forgot to say why I like ceramic beads, because they're made out of clay and formed by someone's hands.

I've always felt close to the earth, probably the little bit of Cherokee blood in me. LOL It seemed only natural to dabble in clay. I love clay beads, especially the different glazes and how they can look on a finished piece. I met you through Beads of Clay and you have been wonderful smoothing my way into the BOC world.

Such a pretty set of beads! I found you through the Beads of Clay website. I love all types of handmade beads but what I love about ceramic beads is that they "feel" handmade. You can almost imagine the beadmaker's hands in the clay when you touch them. I feel that way about all pottery actually. I love holding a nice handmade mug. :-)
